Situated at the confluence of the Narmada and Kaveri rivers, Omkareswar is one of the holiest Hindu sites in India by virtue of the presence a jyotirlingam, one of the twelve in India. The island shaped like the symbol Om, is about 2km long and 1km wide and is set in picturesque surroundings.
