Mandvi is a busy little fortified town located about 50 kms away from Bhuj, known for its ship building yard and clean sweeping beaches. Mandvi was a major port of the region and summer retreat for Maharao (king) of the Kachchh. Madvi has a pleasant climate all round the year. The sea coast of Mandvi offers excellent views of the Arabian Sea and water sports facilities making it an ideal place to unwind.

The grand 19th century VijayVilasPalace with its magnificent private beach is a major tourist attraction of Mandvi. The palace has all the elements of Rajput architecture with well-laid gardens with water channels and marble fountains.
MandviBeach: Mandvi has one of the most beautiful beaches in Gujarat. The beach, known as 'Kashi-VishwanathBeach' offers water sports facilities too.
Rukmavati bridge: The bridge on the RukmavatiRiver was built in 1883; it is the longest existing structure of its kind in India today.
Bandhni Bazaar: Mandvi is known for the production of its famous Bandhani (tie-dye) and other country crafts.
Traditional ship building: Mandvi is also a 400 year old ship building centre. Even today, master carpenters build fishing boats by traditional techniques in Mandvi. Getting there: Bhuj is the nearest airport. Buses and jeeps are available from Bhuj. The nearest railway station is at Gandhidham.
Mandvi can be easily accessed by road and regular state run and private buses are available from cities like Bhuj, Gandhidham, Ahmedabad and Rajkot.
