Hotel Description |
|
| The first Fernhills bungalow was built in 1844 as a private residence. It passed through many hands and then became a country club hotel for a while in the 1860s before it was finally established as a heritage hotel. The Palace is spread out over 50 acres of green lawns, stylized gardens and dense woods with spectacular views of terraced tea gardens and lush verdant valleys. The palace is superbly finished with Burmese teak. One of its outstanding features is a throwback to other times - a magnificent ballroom with an inimitable ornamental papier-mâché ceiling. Two galleries overlook the ballroom, one veiled with lace curtains for the ladies of the household and the other for the court orchestra. Accommodation:- This palace exclusively has Suites, comprising sitting room, bedroom, dressing room, sit-out and bathroom.
